FAQs

What is Tri-M?

Tri-M stands for “Modern Music Masters” and is a program of the National Association for Music Education. Tri-M is designed to recognize students for their academic and musical achievements, reward them for their accomplishments and service to the community, and to inspire other students to excel through music and leadership. Students complete 10 hours of service, 2 concert companions, 2 Tri-M sanctioned events, and 1 community concert. These events are divided up over the course of the school year.

Who can be involved?

Any student that is currently enrolled in band, chorus, or orchestra is invited to join Tri-M at Edwardsville High School. All students must maintain good academic standing with no disciplinary issues.

Why is Tri-M important?
